Cremation Services

Guiding you through cremation

At Bean Funeral Homes in Sinking Spring, PA, our on-site crematory allows us to handle all aspects of the cremation process with care.

Here is why more families are choosing cremation as a final disposition option:

  • Flexibility: Cremation offers more flexibility in terms of timing and location for a memorial, allowing loved ones to gather in their own time and place.
  • Affordability: Cremation tends to be more affordable compared to burial, making it a practical choice for many families.
  • Environmental impact: Cremation has a lower environmental impact than other methods, including embalming and the use of caskets and burial plots.
  • Personalization: With cremation, families can personalize the final resting place, such as scattering ashes in a special location or keeping them in an urn at home.

Your wishes, your way

At Bean Funeral Homes, we understand that planning for end-of-life arrangements can seem overwhelming. We offer comprehensive pre-planning services to help ease the burden on your loved ones.

Sinking Spring

Our Sinking Spring funeral home has a fascinating history. The two story early-colonial structure was constructed in 1802 as a farmhouse, and was used through the years as a private school for boys and girls known as the Charter Oak Academy. The late Thomas K. Oberlin was Founder and Headmaster of the school until he operated the Oberlin Peony Gardens on the site until his death sometime after World War 2. In 1963 it was purchased by Edgar L. and Janet Paulsgrove, former operators of the Riveredge restaurant, who renovated the building and operated a very popular restaurant known as the Ye Old Spring House. We purchased the facility in 1988, and completely renovated it, installing the most modern funeral preparation facilities, and the most spacious, comfortable atmosphere for families and their friends.
