Zachary Peter Lien, 40, of Denver, Colorado, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025 at 4:56 a.m. after a long and courageous battle with addiction. Born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Zachary was the son of Emmett Lien III, husband of Carol Lien, and Tina Weidner wife of Leon Weidner. Zachary was a 2003 graduate of Wilson High School, attended Columbia College of Southern California for creative writing, and graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Security & Risk Analysis. He had a long career in technology and cybersecurity. Zachary enjoyed gaming, reading, creative writing, making music, and running. His beloved dogs, Marty and Molly, were his constant companions and brought him endless joy and comfort. He was passionate about his charitable work serving marginalized communities, teaching the arts to children, and caring for animals. Zachary was a light to many—kind, empathetic, brilliant, and creative. He connected with others and created community through his sense of humor and storytelling. In addition to his parents, Zachary is survived by his siblings Courtney Good (wife of Peter Good), Abbey Nyce (wife of Jesse Nyce), Jordan Lien, step sisters Kristina Wagers and Cheyenne Wagers, and three nieces and two nephews. 

Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at GT Church 1110 Snyder Road, West Lawn, PA 19609 Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 12:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at GT Church Saturday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.
