William Kase

William R. Kase, 90, formerly of Reading, passed away April 25, 2011 in VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA. He was the husband of Edna (Radzikowski) Kase who passed away September 28, 2009. Born in Simpson, Lackawanna County on April 15, 1921, he was the son of the late Raymond and Catherine (Kenny) Kase.

Mr. Kase was a graduate of Carbondale High School. He was employed as a Court Reporter in the Berks County Court of Common Pleas in Reading for 20 years retiring in 1983. He served as a Captain in the US Air Force for 20 years. William served during World War Two and the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by two daughters Kathleen K. (Kase) wife of Michael Burk of Ebensburg, PA and Margaret K. (Kase) wife of John R. Rennolds of Tappahannock, VA with whom he last resided; 2 grandsons Samuel D. Rixey husband of Megan Rixey and John W. Rixey husband of Eleaner Rixey; a great grandson Oliver K. Rixey; and a brother Kenny Kase of Jermyn, PA. He was predeceased by 3 brothers Lester Kase, Thomas Kase and Raymond Kase and 2 sisters Alberta (Kase) Madden and Jean Marie Kase.
