William Blessing

William J. Blessing, 87 passed away May 1, 2011 at 9:30am in the Berkshire Center where he was a guest since February 2010.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Elsie (Hirneisen) Blessing. He was the husband of Catherine C. (Conner) Blessing who passed away July 29, 1997.

Mr. Blessing was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School and also served in the US Army during World War 2. He was employed at Park Jensen as a Truck Driver and Warehouseman for 45 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in West Lawn.

Survivors include 2 sons: Randy W. Blessing of Oklahoma, Tracy W. Blessing of Reading and a daughter: Kathy L. Mann wife of John J. Wawrzyniak, Jr. of Exeter Twp. There are 6 grandchildren: Drew Blessing, Tory Blessing, Ryan Mann, Amber Ressler, Shannon Speicher and Joshua Blessing and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Mildred R. Blessing.
