Warren Schmehl

Warren R. "Pat" Schmehl, 80, of Smyrna, North Carolina, formerly of Reading, passed away May 20, 2011 in his residence of natural causes. He was the husband of Constance H. (Henry) Schmehl. Born in Reading he was the son of the late Robert and Frances (Steffe) Schmehl. Mr. Schmehl was employed by the Wyomissing Area School District in outside maintanence for 15 years. He was a member of Community Evangelical Congregational Church in Lower Heidelberg Township and served in the United States Navy during Korea. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Debbie A. wife of T. David Kocher with whom he last resided, Gregory S. husband of Gail Schmehl of Wakefield, RI and Brian K. husband of Elizabeth Schmehl of Jacksonville, FL along with grandchildren Amanda and Amber Kocher, Christy and Bethie Schmehl as well as his sister Gloria McGovern of Sinking Spring.
