Walter Jarsocrak, Sr
August 18, 1919 — June 16, 2017
Walter J. "Schmitty" Jarsocrak, Sr., 97, formerly of Sarasota, FL, passed away on June 16, 2017 at Topton Lutheran Home.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George and Katherine (Kieta) Jeziorczak.
Mr. Jarsocrak was employed as a shoe stitcher for Barmac Shoes for over 40 years. He retired from Polymer in 1984 after working as a janitor for 8 years. Walter was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church and the 18th Ward Democratic Club.
He was predeceased by his brothers: Stanley, Frank, Theodore, George, and Raymond Jarsocrak and sisters: Helen Sparagna, Jennie Farina, Leona Brophy, Mary Cirulli, and Cecilia Huspidor.
Survivors include his wife: Fern A. Jarsocrak, children: Gerald W. Jarsocrak, husband of Lynda of Spring Twp. and Walter J. Jarsocrak, Jr., husband of Cindy L. of Maidencreek Twp. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a sister: Florence Owens of Ephrata, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Bean Funeral Home, N.16th & Rockland Sts., Hampden Heights, on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10-11:00AM. The interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
