Walter Brower

Walter C. Brower, 83, of Shillington, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the Reading Hospital. He was the beloved husband for 56 years to Brenda (Mondala) Brower.

Born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania on February 24, 1939, to Arthur H. and Kathryn (Conrad) Brower. Walter graduated from Penn State with his B.S. of Biological Sciences. After graduating from Penn State, he enlisted in the United States Army and trained for medical technology at Sandia Base Hospital in Albuquerque. He worked at St. Joseph Hospital for almost 40 years as a Medical Technologist in the Chemistry Department, retiring in 2004.

Walter is survived by his wife Brenda Brower, two sons Eric, and Michael Brower, of Shillington. His five grandchildren, Elias, Caitlin, significant other of Tyshaun Weaver, Olivia, Ava, Amelia, great-grandson Jalen Weaver, sister, Joyce Brower Dresch, wife of Charles, of Annville, and five nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister Edna Brower.

Walter will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607 on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 11:00am. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. Interment will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10:00am-11:00am.
