Walter R. Blimline, 78, of Brecknock Township, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at 7:35 am in his residence. He was the husband of Darlene (Jones) Blimline. Born in Reading Mr. Blimline was the son of the late Howard and Laura (Weinhold) Blimline. He attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Denver, PA and was employed by Graco Metals Children’s Products in Elverson, PA in the maintenance department. In addition to his wife, Mr. Blimline is survived by his children Brenda S. McGowan, wife of Richard McGowan of Geigertown; Terry L. Blimline, husband of Becky Blimline of West Reading; Scott A. Blimline, husband of Kristin Blimline of Blandon; his grandchildren Tonya, Brandon, Karissa, Kevin, Scotty, Emma and his great grandson Leo. He is also survived by his siblings, sisters Julia Van Kirk-Frith, wife of Walter Frith of Honey Brook; Dorcas Henry of Pottsville; Howard Blimline, Jr., husband of Mildred Blimline of Mohnton and was preceded in death by his sister Naomi Brown.
Walter was a man of Christian faith who loved animals, tractors, and people, especially his family. He was well-known for his gregarious personality, and his ability to repair nearly anything with an engine. Some of the activities he enjoyed were camping, or hosting campers on his property.
Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Monday, January 3, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Wyomissing Cemetery, Gouglersville. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
