Vivian E. Casper, 93, of Reading passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at Reading Hospital. Born in Shillington, Vivian was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Erma M. (Mohn) Coller. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Frank S. Casper.

Mrs. Casper is survived by three daughters; Vicky L. wife of Michael G. Pfeifer of Wyomissing, Beverly D. wife of Laurence M. McGrath of Ephrata and Kathy L. wife of James H. Bretz of Adamstown. She is also survived by four sisters; Jane Long, Patsy Shober, Barbara Cipolla, Lois Miller, her daughter in law, Jolyn Casper, twelve grandchildren; Lisa, wife of Shaun Halstead, Jeffrey McGrath, Michael McGrath, Seth Pfeifer, husband of Stephanie Sawyer, Cory Pfeifer, fiancé of Lauren Lombardo, Caitlin Pfeifer, Kimberly , wife of David Nakonecznyj, Jeffrey Bretz, Matthew Bretz, Heather Carter, Alexandra Casper, Steven Casper, five great grandchildren; Pheonyx Halstead, Nathan Nakonecznyj, Madelyn Nakonecznyj, Chad Carter Jr., Leah Carter  and 1 great-great grandchild Addison Carter. Along with her husband, Vivian was preceded in death by her brother Richard Coller and her son Barry S. Casper.

Vivian’s faith was extremely important to her. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Reformed Church and later Grace Lutheran Church where she was a greeter, a tutor for their school tutoring program, and active in the Lutheran Pantry and Altar Guild. . She loved music, flowers, animals, and spending time with family. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching her favorite Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Sixers , Flyers and Phillies.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family followed by internment at Laureldale Cemetery. Bean Funeral Homes and Cremation Services N. 16th & Rockland Sts. is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution in Vivian’s memory to The Animal Rescue League of Berks County 58 Kennel Rd Birdsboro PA 19508 or Shriners Hospitals 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa FL 33607.
