Virginia H. Witham

Virginia Helen Witham, 90, of Kennett Square, formerly of Shillington, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, while living at Kendal at Longwood in Kennett Square. She was the loving wife to Charles R. Witham, for more than 30 years before his passing on April 5, 2022. Virginia was born in Harris County, Houston, Texas, and was the daughter of the late Artie E. Thurman and Ruby R. Lary. She was a member of the Church of Christ, in Shillington. She felt great comfort in her faith and belief in the teachings of Jesus.

Virginia, who preferred to be called Ginny, was an avid gardener, who felt most at home outside among the roses and lilies. She was sharp witted, kind, and cared deeply for her family. Ginny had a great sense of humor that would often surface under challenging situations.

Ginny is survived by her children, Cheryl C. Bogen, of Kennett Square, and Steven J. Kishlo, of Philadelphia. She is also leaving behind three grandchildren Lauren Bogen, Layah Bogen, and Danielle Bogen. All of whom will miss her dearly.

Ginny is predeceased by her son, Sky F. Kishlo, and daughter, April M. Kishlo as well as her sister, Sylvia L. Hartis.

A Memorial service for Ginny will be held on Friday, October 25th at 2:00 PM at Kendal at Longwood, 1109 E. Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
