Violet Moyer

Violet Mary (Ott) Moyer 95, resident of Berks Heim formerly of West Reading, passed on November 23, 2018 in Reading Hospital. She was the widow of Daniel Moyer.
Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Long) Ott.
Named after the wood violets her mother was picking when she went into labor, she was a devoted member of Alsace Lutheran Church. Violet was employed by Treasurhow's as a sales lady for 20 years. She walked everywhere and could be frequently seen out and about in West Reading. She loved all animals and would always look out for anyone sick or in need. She was caring and loving.
She lived on her own until she was 93 years old and was assisted by her great-niece Nan Reinert, her nephew Dennis Reinert and Elaine Reinert, who she always called her niece. She had an excellent memory and would share family stories of her childhood and current happenings. Always called "Auntie Violet" she was very loved and will be greatly missed.
Violet is survived by her nephews and niece: Dennis B. Reinert husband of Elaine Reinert, Wyomissing, Kenton G. Reinert husband of Nancy Reinert, Reading and Howard K. Reinert husband of Laurie Reinert, New Hope. Margret Ott wife of Frank Jaskolka, Seymour, TN, David Ott husband of Linda, Birdsboro, Ted Ott husband of Trish, Kutztown , Richard Ott husband of Judy, Reading, George Moyer husband of Barbara, Colorado Springs, CO and many great nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Daniel Moyer, two brothers: Charles and James Ott and her sister Lillian ( Ott) Reinert.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 12 Noon. Reverend Richard A. Nelson will officiate. Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Wednesday 11:00 am to 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Berks County 1801 North 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604 in memory of Mrs. Violet M. Moyer.
