Violet Brown

Violet B. (Gilmer) Brown, 94, of Reading passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at Penn State Health- Saint Joes. She is the beloved wife of the late Donald Richard Brown Sr. Born in Bosier City, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Gilmer and Beatrice Lincoln. Violet is survived by her son Donald Richard Brown Jr. husband of Joyce; Daryl Brown, husband of Jean (Holland) Brown; and Patricia Beaver, wife of Douglas Beaver. She is also survived by her sister Lucille; ten grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Violet is predeceased by her daughter Susan Anne Brown, as well as eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service is to be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 1059 Victory Cir, Reading, PA 19605.
