Vera S. Ward, 81, of Robesonia, passed away on March 16, 2016 at Mifflin Center.
Born in Heidelberg Germany, she was the daughter of the late Hans and Helena Bacher.
Vera was employed in furniture repair and refinishing, working for Diamond Furniture, Fecera's Furniture, and Griffith and Bixler. She had a love for animals, enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband: Joseph T. Ward and daughter: Diane M. Strohl.
Vera is survived by her children: David Calvey, husband of Sherilyn of Cape Coral, FL; Erik D. Calvey of Robesonia; Troy R. Calvey of Leesport; and Kathleen L. Miller of Reading. Grandchildren: Brandy Castellucci, Andrea Ruf, Kristen Kelly, Shawn Schwab, George Saltzman V, Samantha Saltzman, Sarah Saltzman, and Chance Calvey. 4 great-grandchildren. Brother: Horst Bacher of Germany. Sister: Undine Zarecor of Texas.
A memorial service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10-11:00AM.
