Timothy J. “Tim” Latshaw, 59, of Brownstown, PA, formerly of Reading, PA, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, after courageously battling leukemia for the past nine years. Born on April 17, 1965, in Kingston, RI, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and May (Hyatt) Latshaw.
Tim graduated from Conrad Weiser High School in 1983. On May 20, 1989, he married Denise (Strause) Latshaw in Reading, PA, beginning a devoted and loving partnership that spanned nearly 35 years of marriage.
Tim worked for Rohm & Haas, a bus driver for Wilson School District and Alvernia University, and most recently, as a driver at The Highlands of Wyomissing. Known for his easygoing nature and sense of humor, Tim could light up a room with his jokes and never met a stranger he couldn’t befriend.
Above all, Tim was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife, Denise, their daughter Amanda, wife of Grant Lloyd, of Morgantown, PA, and son Tyler of Brownstown, PA. He was a proud grandfather to Carter, who brought him immense joy. Tim is also survived by his brothers Michael (Grants Pass, OR) and Stephen (Conway, SC), his sister Melinda (Womelsdorf, PA), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Jo Anne.
Tim loved Christmas and cherished the holiday season. To honor his memory, the family requests attendees of his service to dress casually in Christmas attire. Memorial Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 11:00 am. Reverend Pat Morris will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Saturday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Tim’s memory to Mostly Muttz Rescue at https://www.mostlymuttz.org/. His warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
