Thomas W. Strahan, Sr., 81, of Laureldale, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George L. and Thelma E. (Springer) Strahan. He was the husband of the late Kathleen N. (Strunk) Strahan, who passed away November 9, 2004. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He graduated from Reading High School class of 1958, attended the U.S. Naval Academy, and graduated from Albright College in 1964 with a BS in Economics. Tom last worked as an Account Executive for a Division of National Penn Bank before retiring. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, going on fishing trips along with cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. Tom along with his beloved wife, Kathy also liked traveling and found their home away from home in Bermuda.
Tom is survived by his children; Thomas W. Strahan, Jr., husband of Linda of Dayton, Ohio, Robin E. (Strahan) Page, wife of Marc Ratner of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Jennifer C. (Lena) McMullen of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are his 5 grandchildren, Whitney, Andrew, Tommy, Jeremy, and Andrew and his 5 great grandchildren, Caydence, Wyatt, Zane, Wade and Emmie.
Funeral Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 10:00 am, celebrated by Celebrant Amy Landis. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the United States Navy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Strahan to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
