Thomas Sechrist

Thomas C. Sechrist, 85, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Patricia D. (Owens) Sechrist, who passed away on June 9, 2019. Together they shared 59 years of marriage.

Born in Lebanon County, he was the son of the late Warren C. and Sara (Schell) Sechrist. Thomas served in the United States Army Reserve. During his life, he worked for Berks Brush-Wellman in Shoemakersville, for 23 years, retiring in December of 2001.

Thomas enjoyed golf, had a passion for cars and loved going out for breakfast. Thomas was also a Barber. He continued this as a hobby throughout his life, barbering for his family and friends. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Bruce G. Sechrist, husband of Lisa A. of Reinholds; Todd M. Sechrist, husband of Stacey L. of South Carolina; Wendy E. White, wife of George A. of Kempton; Tracy L. Watts, wife of David A. of Maine; Kimberly A. Sanders, wife of Robert R. of Sinking Spring; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Miller, of Sinking Spring; and Sandra Merrell, of Maryland.

Thomas was predeceased by his siblings, Lorraine Matthew and Robert Sechrist.

Funeral Service will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 16 Telford Ave. West Lawn, PA 19609 on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Muddy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 9:00am-10:00am.
