Thomas R. McKay, 83, of Spring Twp., passed away March 19, 2010 at 3:10 AM in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Marian J. (Fry) McKay. Born in McKeesport on March 6, 1927, he was the son of the late T. Rea and Irene (Reilly) McKay.
Tom was a 1944 graduate of McKeesport High School and a 1951 graduate of St. Vincent College, Latrobe. He was a Navy veteran of World War 2. Mr. McKay was a public accountant at the National and Duquesne Works of USX Steel for 35 years retiring in 1982.
He was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed golf and in his prime, volleyball, softball and bowling. He was a lifelong public accountant who still prepared taxes for a select group of family, friends and businesses.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters Maureen A. (McKay) wife of James H. Klahr of Wyomissing and Donna I. McKay of Tallmadge, Ohio, 2 grandchildren Christopher J. Klahr and Colleen A. Klahr, a brother Ronald J. husband of Maralyn H. McKay of White Oak, PA and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
