Thomas Kerns Sr.

Thomas R. Kerns Sr., 73, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sharon L. Kerns (Pawling). Together they shared 50 years of marriage.

Born in Lewisburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late John and Madeline (Moody) Kerns.

During his life, he was a Supervisor for Utility Line Services for many years, until retirement.

Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, and had a talent for mechanics.

He especially enjoyed spending time with his dog Rosie.

In addition to his wife Sharon L. Kerns, of Sinking Spring, he is survived by his children, Thomas R. Kerns Jr., husband of Beth M., of South Dakota; Ray T. Kerns, husband of Erin M., of Robesonia; Brad J. Kerns, husband of Shelly K., of Wernersville; Jed J. Kerns, husband of Vicki C., of Sinking Spring; Matthew J. Kerns, husband of Rachel, of Wernersville; Adam J. Kerns, husband of Jessica, of New York; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother John Kerns, husband of Kay, of Oklahoma.

Thomas was predeceased by his son Chad J. Kerns, who passed away January 25, 1975; grandson Baby Boy Kerns, and his siblings, Nancy Autrey, Jerry Kerns, and Henry Kerns.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Homes 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 6:00pm-8:00pm and on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 9:00am-10:00am.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10:00am. Amy S. Landis will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
