Thomas P. Allen

Thomas P. Allen, 93, formerly of Mount Penn, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 10:25 am in the home of his son Ronald R. Grant of East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County.  He was the husband of the late Margaret H. “Peggy” (Ziegler) Allen who passed away August 4, 2019.  Born in Pottstown, Mr. Allen was the son of the late Mahlon and Miriam (Eddinger) Allen.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was employed as a civilian in charge for the United States Army Reserve Center until his retirement.  Mr. Allen is survived by his children Kathleen A. Potteiger wife of Dennis G. Potteiger of Huntingdon; Ronald R. Grant husband of Susan M. Grant with whom he last resided; Thomas P. Allen, Jr. husband of Sue Allen of Boyertown; Kelly DeBlaise wife of Brad DeBlaise of Hopewell, PA; Donald Allen husband of Kimberly Allen of Lower Alsace Township; Scott Allen of Chester County and was preceded in death by his daughters Deborah L. Bilinski wife of John G. Bilinski of Exeter Township and Sharon Albright wife of Kenneth Albright of Pottstown.  Mr. Allen is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11:00 am.  Amy S. Landis, Celebrant will officiate.  Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United State Air Force Honor Guard will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 in memory of Mr. Thomas P.
