Theresa A. Deren

Theresa A. Deren, 78, of Spring Township, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 2:40 am at Mifflin Center. She was the wife of Eugene E. Deren. Born in Reading, Theresa was the daughter of the late Russell and Angelina (Lecatsas) Hess. Theresa was employed as an executive administrative assistant for Boscov’s Department Stores and administrative assistant at Berks Visiting Nurse Association and retired as an administrative assistant at Bausman Memorial United Church of Christ in Wyomissing. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, fishing, boating and loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband Theresa is survived by her daughters Gina M. Shepherd wife of Allen W. Shepherd of Sinking Spring; Diana C. Wagner wife of Jeremy H. Wagner of Muhlenberg Township; Christina E. Andrews wife of Eric L. Andrews of Robesonia; her grandchildren Joseph Shepherd, Zachery Kreiser and Tianna Andrews, her great grandchildren Isabella and Alayana Chapa. Also surviving are her brothers Russell Hess husband of Jolyn Hess of Leesport; Ricky Hess husband of Sharon Hess of West Lawn and several nieces and nephews. 

Memorial Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 129 East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow at the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Michael J.
