Thelma Zuber

Thelma M. Zuber, 95, of Exeter Twp. and formerly of North Waverly St., Shillington, died Tuesday May 10th at 11:45AM in the Reading Hospital where she had been a patient since Monday May 2nd.

She was the wife of Morris H. Zuber Jr. who died March 30, 1992.

Born in Reading she was a daughter of the late John and Ethel (Jones) Loughlin.

She was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna R.C.C., Exeter Twp. and formerly was a member of St. John Baptist de LaSalle R.C.C., Shillington.

She was an avid reader and loved animals.

Surviving are one son, Michael J. Zuber, Reading; three daughters: Kathleen M., wife of Philip N. Macaronis, with whom she last resided; Deborah M., wife of C. Perry Wentzel, Shillington; Margaret A., wife of Nicholas R. Gatto, Reading; three sisters: Catherine, widow of Joseph Piasecki, Reading; Margaret, wife of Albert Gombar, Reading; Mary, widow of Clarence Solecki, Reading; four grandchildren: Heather A. Zuber-Lester, wife of James Lester, Manhattan; Alexander R., husband of Erika Wentzel, Florida; Michael P., husband of Valerie Macaronis, Wyomissing; Ashley E. Wentzel, Shillington; four great-grandchildren: Maxim Zuber-Lester, James C. Macaronis, Lillian R. Wentzel, Serafina Zuber-Lester.

She was predeceased by a son, Morris H. Zuber III; brother, John Loughlin and his wife, Doris; sister, Elizabeth Eckert and her husband, George.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 16th, at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Catharine of Sienna RCC, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township. Reverend Monsignor Edward R. Domin, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, 7-9 p.m., at Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington.
