Thelma Stafford

Thelma June Stafford, 90, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at ManorCare Sinking Spring. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence C. Stafford. Born in Shoemakersville, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. Trout and Sarah A. (Herring) Trout. Thelma was a 1946 graduate of Reading High School. During her life she worked as an administrative secretary for Glidden Paint for 25 years, retiring in 1990. After retiring she worked for the Wilson School District as a child care assistant, enjoying every minute of it. Thelma had a great love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was always a constant spectator at all their events and was their biggest fan! She was always known for her contagious smile and could always generate that light throughout all who met her. Also known as, "grandma fluffy" touched the lives of many and if you met her you were family. Thelma was always smiling and still smiling from above. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, eating at ranch house, loved to sing and dance and loved clowns.
Thelma is survived by her son, David M. Stafford; grandchildren, Heather Calloway; Shane Stafford; Great grandchildren, Shayne Calloway, Jaylin Calloway, Jayana Calloway; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Esther Riegel; brothers Daniel Trout and James Trout.
Graveside Service will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 458 W. Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606, on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Paul Worcheck Memorial Fund
