Thelma Messner

Thelma Rose Messner, 97, of Exeter Township passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Reading Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry Joseph Messner, who passed away on October 19, 2012. Born in Tamaqua, PA she was the daughter of the late William Anthony and Elsie G. (Correll) Meyers. Thelma was a graduate of Reading High School Class of 1943. During her life, she worked in the Accounting Department for Western Electric, until retiring on February 10, 1982. She was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church, in Reading. Thelma loved gardening, reading books, and completing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed going to the Exeter Community Library and hosting family gathering for birthdays and holidays.

Thelma is survived by her son, Charles H. Messner, husband of Barbara R., of Exeter Township; daughter, Barbara Ann Brown, wife of Barry A., of Shoemakersville; grandsons, Ryan and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Ella, Marina, Ashley, and Michael.

Thelma was predeceased by her son William H. Messner and her siblings, Bill Meyers, Bob Meyers, Charlie Meyers, Doris Richards and Dolores Mensch.
