Susan Oesterling

Susan L. Oesterling, 62, of Spring Twp., passed away January 8, 2010 at 10:29 AM in her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Jack J. Oesterling. Born in Harrisburg on November 20, 1947, she was the daughter of Mary Louise (Dixon) Dreisbach of Bern Twp. and the late Robert W. Dreisbach.

Susan was a 1965 graduate of DuVal High School in Maryland, a 1969 graduate of Shippensburg State College and later received her Master's Degree. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sinking Spring. Mrs. Oesterling enjoyed boating and going to the beach. She was employed as an elementary school teacher by Conrad Weiser School District for 32 years retiring in 2007 as a 4th grade teacher.

Susan loved her husband, children and grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters Kirstin B. (Oesterling) wife of Allyn D. Shockey and Jennifer P. (Oesterling) wife of Peter B. Froelich all of Sinking Spring, 3 grandchildren Jeremy T. Shockey, Nicholas A. Shockey and Jack C. Froelich and a brother Robert D. Dreisbach husband of Terrie Dreisbach of Yackima, WA.
