Stuart Innis

Stuart F. Innis, 85, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away January 16, 2011 at 7:00 pm in his residence of natural causes. He is survived by his Loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth(McQuillan) Innis. Born in Newburgh, NY he was the son of the late Alfred and Dorothy (James) Innis. He was a 1943 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. Mr. Innis was a sewing machine mechanic/plant manager for Sweet-Orr of Pottstown and Mohnton, Jay El manufacturing of Fleetwood and Wrights Knitwear of Auburn. He was a Radio Operator in Army Air Corp during World War II and a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ in Tuckerton. Mr. Innis was a member of Rotary Club of Muhlenberg from 1978-present, served on Church Counci, was an avid gardener and was a "Mr. Fix-It". He also loved birds and animals. He was a Loving Father to Kent S. Innis of Escondido, CA, Richard A. husband of Judy A. Innis of Bern Township, Diane M. wife of Stanley S. Papademetriou of Wyomissing. He was a Loving grandfather and great grandfather to Caren Innis-Timberlake, Julie Ward, Jack Innis, Luke Innis, S. Alex, Metaxia and Cassandra Papademetriou and Carter Timberlake and Colin James. Also surviving is his daughter in law Janet Innis of Exeter Township, wife of the late Thomas S. Innis who passed away December 21, 1997. Also surviving is his sister Shirley Glace of Newburgh, NY and was preceded in death by siblings Albert D. Innis and Dorothy Aimes.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ.
