Stewart Levan

November 12, 1927 — February 13, 2018

Stewart Neal LeVan, 90, formerly of Mount Penn, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 6:00 pm in Tel Hai Retirement Living Center in Honeybrook. He was the husband of Virginia E. (Metz) LeVan. Born in West Reading, Mr. LeVan was the son of the late Abraham H. and Susan E. (Keller) LeVan. He attended Saint John United Church of Christ, Gibraltar and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. LeVan was employed by the former Leinbach's Hardware Store in Mount Penn for 64 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children James S. LeVan, husband of Nancy LeVan of Maryland; Beth E. Schlagnhaufer, wife of Carl Schlagnhaufer of State College; Heather L. Antrim, wife of Erin Antrim of Boyertown; Hugh E. LeVan, husband of Tonya LeVan of Fleetwood and Barbara LeVan of Las Vegas and his grandchildren Emily A. LeVan; Sydney A. LeVan and Noa S. Antrim. Mr. LeVan is also survived by his sister Ruth Graeff of Leesport.
Memorial Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11:00 am. Reverend Bruce Kreisher will officiate. Interment will be held privately by the family in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory Saturday 10:00-11:00 am.
