Steven R. Kurtz

Steven R. Kurtz, 69, of Mohnton, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in his home. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Martha (Guigley) and Isaac Kurtz. He was the loving husband of Deborah L. (Mull) Kurtz, who passed away on February 22, 2021. He graduated from Governor Mifflin High School. Steve was an all-around outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed gardening, making bonfires, and cooking over an open fire. He loved hosting get togethers for his family and friends.

Steven is survived by his granddaughter, Reina M. Rivera, his siblings, Robert G. Kurtz, of Essort, PA, Mary E. Burroughs, wife of M. Wayne of Little River, SC, and Timothy L. Kurtz, husband of Kathryn M. of Mohnton, PA, and many wonderful friends. In addition to his parents, Steven is predeceased by his siblings, Susan Anne Kurtz, Kenneth L. Kurtz, and Russell E. Kurtz. Steven’s daughter, Carolyn R. Kurtz passed by his side.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 12:00pm in Bean Funeral Homes, 129 E. Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA 19607. Amy S. Landis, celebrant to officiate. The family welcomes relatives and friends to pay their respects at a closed casket visitation on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 9:00am to 12:00pm in Bean Funeral Homes, Shillington.
