Stergios Dikos

August 28, 1938 — February 5, 2010

Stergios C. Dikos, 71, of Reading, passed away February 5, 2010 at 5:09 AM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center. He was the husband of Cornilia (Katsanis) Dikos. Born in Athens, Greece, on August 28, 1938, he was the son of the late Christos and Marina (Alexios) Dikos.


Mr. Dikos served as a sergeant in the Greek Army for 2 years. He was the owner and operator of the Lobster Pot Restaurant in Wildwood Crest, NJ from 1971 until 1991. He was a co-owner of the Quebec, Calypso and Tropicana Motels in Wildwood from 1986 until 1993. He worked as a short order chef at Arner's Restaurant on State Hill Road during the winter months for 25 years retiring in 2001. He and his wife operated the Greek Gourmet stand at the Fairground's Farmers Market from 2002 until the present time.


Mr. Dikos was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Reading.


He was a devoted and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. The greatest joy of his life was spending time with his family.


Surviving in addition to his wife are a son Christos Dikos husband of Valerie A. Dikos of Mohnton, a daughter Marina (Dikos) Good wife of William Good of Collegeville, 6 grandchildren Alexandra, Stergios, Athanasios, Antonia, Courtney and Mia Isabella. Also surviving are a brother Elias Dikos and a sister Maria (Dikos) Amouris wife of John Amouris all of Athens, Greece. He was predeceased by a brother Athanasios Dikos.
