Stella Harris

Stella K. Harris, 90, formerly of Mt. Penn, passed away May 21, 2011 at 7:20 am in Manatawny Manor, Pottstown. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Harris, Sr. who passed away in July of 1981. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late James E. Conner, Jr. and Eva M. (Gross) Conner. She was a statement clerk for Meridian Bank for 16 years retiring in 1988 and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Mt. Penn. She is survived by her step son Robert L. husband of Cynthia Harris of Exeter Township, daughers Beverly M. wife of Robert A. Hafer of The Villages, FL and Susan P. Harris of Shillington along with 3 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as her brother Richard J. Conner of Muhelnberg Township. She was preceded in death by her son Gerald B. Hinnershitz, Sr. in February of 1999. The family would like to thank all the staff at Manatawny Manor(Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries) for the wonderful care they provided during her stay. Also, the family thanks Diakon's Hospice St. John for the wonderful care provided to Stella during the last days of her life.
