Stella Blatt

Stella M. Blatt, 97, of Spring Twp. and formerly of Reading, passed away November 23, 2009 at 9:55 PM in ManorCare Health Services in West Reading where she resided for one month. She was the wife of Frank P. Blatt who passed away January 1, 1993. Born in Reading on June 22, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Magdalena (Weiss) Faller.

Stella was a bass player and the leader of her band Stella's Trio for 37 years retiring in 1972. She was an avid bowler and crocheted and made quilts for many different missions.

Surviving are a daughter Dolores Joan (Blatt) Kauffman with whom she last resided , 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren , 8 great great grandchildren and a step sister Gloria Mizdial of Lansdale. She was predeceased by a daughter Patricia A. Schaedler.
