Stanley J. Pilat, 86, of Cumru Twp., passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 3:35 p.m. at Manor Care Sinking Spring, where he had been a patient for the last eighteen months.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John and Helen Pilat, and widower of the late June M. (Pearson) Pilat, who passed away on November 2, 1989.
He was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army.
He worked as a presser for Dana Corporation, and was later self employed in the Hospitality Industry. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua R.C.C.- Millmont.
He is survived by his sons: Stanley P. Pilat, husband of Bonnie, of Shillington, Dennis D. Pilat, husband of Cathy of Blandon, and Larry S. Pilat of Reading.
There are also eleven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was pre deceased by brothers: John, Frank, and Joseph, and a sister:
