Shirley Urkuski

Shirley A. Urkuski (Amoroso), 87, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth K. Urkuski, who passed away in July 2007. Together they shared 49 years of marriage. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Schmeck) Amoroso. Shirley worked in retail for many years of her life. She enjoyed crocheting, was an animal lover and enjoyed trips to Cape May.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Kim M. Young, wife of Glenn H. Young, of Sinking Spring; son, Jeff L. Amoroso, significant other of Diane Strause, of Mohnton; 5 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gaetano Amoroso, Helen Kline, and Francis Stevens.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11:00am. Amy S. Landis, will officiate. Interment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10:00am-11:00am.
