Shirley Oberly

Shirley A. Oberly, 85, of Lebanon, passed away January 13, 2016 in Countryside Christian Community in Annville.
She was the widow of Donald R. Oberly who passed away in 1963.
Born in Oley, she was the daughter of the late Adam P. and Bessie P. (Brenner) Hafer.
Mrs. Oberly was a life time member of Reading Moravian Church, where she a member of the choir, Bessie Hafer Circle of the King's Daughter and Sons and served as Trustee and Financial Secretary.
Shirley was employed at Sonoco Products as a secretary for 23 years, retiring in 1996.
Survivors include her children: Michael D. Oberly, husband of Bonnie, Sinking Spring; Neal P. Oberly, husband of Grace, Elizabethtown; Drew B. Oberly, husband of Patti, Womelsdorf; Durk R. Oberly, husband of Kathy, Womelsdorf; Beth L. Olesh, wife of Rod, Lebanon; Gail D. Saul, wife of Dean, Richland; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and sister Liv Reisinger, wife of Bud, Birdsboro. She was predeceased by 1 brother and 7 sisters.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Oberly's memory to Reading Moravian Church.
A Memorial Service will be held in Reading Moravian Church, 1116 Perry St., Reading, PA on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 6:00pm, Rev. Ronald E. Rice officiating. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10:00am in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W. Neversink Rd, Reading, PA 19606.
