Shirley Dawson

Shirley A. Dawson, 77, of, Bethel Township, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Penn State Health St. Joseph. She was the beloved wife of the late G. Wayne Dawson whom passed away on August 4, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Chernak) Foresto. Shirley was a 1959 graduate of Phoenixville High School. She enjoyed the ocean, and as well as loving her family she had a great love for her dogs. Shirley was a person to continuously to count on and was always doing something for others. She is survived by her children, Rochell A. Kauffman , wife of Lynn Kauffman, of Womelsdorf; Deana M. Britt, wife of Tim Britt, of Bernville; Lynn A. Naftzinger, wife of Chris Naftzinger, of Mohrsville; and Ronald W. Dawson, husband of Angie Dawson of Robesonia; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jack Foresta and Marie Crothers.

Services will be at convenience of the family. Bean Funeral Home, Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road Birdsboro, Pa 19508 or the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th Street Reading, PA 19601, in memory of Shirley A.
