Shirley Christman

Shirley Weidner Christman, 82, formerly of Mt. Penn, passed away February 2, 2011 at 8:44 PM in the Mifflin Center where she resided since November 2, 2010. She was the wife of Richard D. Christman who passed away July 1, 1992. Born in Reading on January 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William David Weidner and the late Gertrude Sara (Reber) Weidner.

She was employed as a full time clerk by Bell Telephone for 10 years and then worked part time until 1980.

Surviving are a son Glenn D. Christman husband of Sallie (Geib) Christman of Wyomissing; a daughter Jayme M. (Christman) wife of Michael J. Mont of Pennside; 3 grandsons Kurt D. Christman, Ian M. Mont and Connor J. Mont; a brother William David Weidner, Jr. husband of Kathryn E. (Wagner) Weidner of Manheim and a nephew Scott Alan Weidner husband of Karen K. Weidner of Hershey.
