Shirley Armstrong

Shirley A. Armstrong, 75, of Myerstown, passed away April 27, 2016 in Penn State Health-St. Joseph.
She was the widow of Robert W. Armstrong, who passed away August 16, 2005.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Alma (Leisey) Long.
She was employed by the former Mary Macintosh in the laundry department for over 10 years.
Shirley enjoyed doing word search puzzles, music and watching old movies; most importantly she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children Kevin S. Armstrong, husband of Susan, Mohrsville; Tammy L. Huff, wife of Vincent, Newmanstown; Wendy D. Lorah, widow of Jeffrey G., Sr., Myerstown; Linda K. Armstrong, Reading; Robert P. Armstrong, Leesport; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and her sister Marion Nagle, Reading. She was predeceased by a daughter Donna M. Armstrong and her siblings Gerald Long, Dorothy Condrath and Betty Stein.
Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 7:00pm, Rev. S. Wayne Rissmiller officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends 5:00-7:00pm. Inurnment will be private in Berks County Memorial Gardens.
