Shirley J. Appolloni

Shirley J. Appolloni, 89, of Temple, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Edward J. Appolloni who passed away February 20, 1996.  Born in Reading, Mrs. Appolloni was the daughter of the late George W. and Catharine A. (Gieringer) Shimp.  She was a member of Renewel Spirit Church, formerly St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Reading and was employed by AT&T/Lucent Technologies as a secretary until her retirement.  Mrs. Appolloni is survived by her son James E. Appolloni husband of Leslie A. Appolloni of Sinking Spring and her grandchildren Courtney Appolloni and Alec Appolloni and his fiancé Taylor.  Also surviving are her sisters Marilyn A. Kleinfelter of Emmaus, Judith C. Ross wife of Robert Ross of Temple, David L. Shimp of Temple and was preceded in death by her daughter Eileen M. Appolloni, sister Eileen M. Pantaleo and brother Gene L. Shimp.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Monday, May 22, 2023 at 10:00 am.  Reverend Robert Argot will officiate.  Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home Monday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  Online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
