Shirley Ammarell

Shirley L. (Cooper) Ammarell, 91, of Reading, passed away on April 16, 2020 at Highgate at Paoli Pointe.  Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Daniel M. and Hannah F. (Delp)  Cooper.  Shirley was the loving wife of the late Richard G. Ammarell.  They shared 65 years of marriage.  She worked as a secretary for Community General Hospital in Reading for 8 years before retiring.  Shirley was a loyal member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and Reformation Lutheran Church in Reading, PA.  She was also an avid walker who enjoyed strolling through Reiffton, Wyomissing, and Blandon.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Eileen (Ammarell) Shelton, of Sewell, NJ, Sharon (Ammarell) Shuman, wife of Pete, of Malvern, PA, her 4 grandchildren, and her 4 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth, Gloria, and Earl.
