Shirley Adam

Shirley A. Adam, 83, of Wernersville, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Barry L. Adam, who passed away on September 8, 2016.

Born, in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Mary Ellen (Powell) Turner. During Shirley’s life, she worked for Lucent Technology, in Reading for 20 years, retiring on August 31, 1994. Shirley enjoyed reading books, sitting on her front porch and socializing with her neighbors. Above all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Larry W. Smith, husband of Brenda L. of Wernersville; Cheryl A. Wolfe, wife of Jeffrey, of Wernersville; Rene Rahn, wife of David, of Wernersville; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother, Wayne Turner, of GA.

Shirley was predeceased by her sister Bobbie Jean Harp.
