Sharon Sauppee

April 24, 1941 — November 20, 2009

Sharon D. Sauppee, 68, of Spring Township, passed away November 20, 2009 at 4:20 pm in her residence of natual causes. She was the wife of Gerald L. Sauppee, Sr. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Sara(Lucchese)DiFulvio of Exeter Township and the late Daniel DiFulvio. Mrs. Sauppee was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School and was president of the Central Catholic High School Class of 1959 Reunion Committee. She was the manager of L'Officiel Hair Salon in Sinking Spring for 20 years. Mrs. Sauppee was a member of Sacred Heart RCC. She was a gym teacher at Sacred Heart School for 5 years, was active in their CYO program, served as Sunday School Teacher and was a Cursillo Retreat Leader at Sacred Heart along with organizing prayer groups for the ill and elderly parishoners at church. She was Founder and President of Berks County Lupus Foundation, President of Midvale Manor Lioness Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Michele P. wife of Donald M. Snyder of Muhlenberg Township, Denise M. Sauppee at home and Marilyn wife of Samuel Ramirez of Reading and her son Gerald L. Sauppee, Jr. of Spring Township. She is also survived by her granddaughters Alexandra E., Isabella S., Alyssa R., Vanessa and Felicia L. along with 3 great grandchildren, godchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her sisters, Donna M. Gentry of Exeter Township, Marilyn A. Clifford of Exeter Township and Denise I. Walker of Ohio.

Contributions may be made to Sacred Heart RCC Memorial Fund, Lakeview Drive and Cherry Streets, West Reading, PA 19611 in memory of Mrs. Sharon D. Sauppee.
