Sebastiano Lombardo

           Sebastiano “Ciano” Lombardo, 90, of Reading, passed away on January 14, 2025, in Complete Care – Berkshire, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Province Messina, Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Grazia (Dovi) and Guiseppe Lombardo. Ciano was the loving husband of Mary B. (Attinello) Lombardo and together they shared 59 years of marriage. He was a Journeyman Machinist for Berks Engineering, Universal Machine, then CarTech Corporation for 13 years before retiring in 2000. Ciano was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed fixing cars, cheering on Team Ferrari during Formula 1 races, and watching soccer. He also loved opera music, singing, and dancing.

           In addition to his wife, Mary, Ciano is survived by his children, Graziellina Kerber, wife of Christopher of Reading and Joseph Lombardo, partner of Frederick Ranallo-Higgins of Philadelphia. Also surviving, are his grandchildren, Gabriella Vance, wife of Landon “Ryan” of Guam and Alex Kerber, of Reading, his great grandchildren, Nolan and Vivian, his sister, Irene Antoci, of Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, Italy, and several nieces and nephews in America and Italy. Ciano is predeceased by his brothers, Nino Lombardo and Joseph Lombardo, sister-in-laws, Prenzy (Mugavero) and Santina (Bruno), and brother-in-law, Dino Antoci.

           A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 9:30am in the Chapel of Saint George, Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. Reverend Samuel Yeboah to celebrate. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 7:45am to 8:45am in Bean Funeral Homes, 129 E. Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA 19607. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Sebastiano Lombardo to the National Centre for Padre Pio, 111 Barto Road, Barto, PA 19504 and/or to Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 237 Franklin Street, Reading, PA 19602.
