Sandra Lee Shaffer

Sandra Lee Shaffer, 79, of Reading, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 3:17 am in Reading Hospital.  Born in Reading, Sandra was the daughter of the late Lee E. and Helen M. (Krawczyk) Shaffer.  She was a member of Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church and was a 1962 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1966 graduate of West Chester University with a degree in Music.  Sandra was an organist at the former Saint Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church; was a pianist and organist at Genesius Theatre in Reading and always had an interest in the musical and theater events in Berks County.  Sandra was a music teacher in the Pottstown and Twin Valley School Districts until her retirement.  She is survived by her friend Elisabeth Rachel Kerns of Wernersville and several cousins and friends. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church 2600 St. Alban’s Drive, Sinking Spring, Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:30 am.  Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.  The Family will receive relatives and friends at Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church Friday from 10:30 am to 11:15 am.  Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
