Sandra Riegel

Sandra M. Riegel, 77, of Womelsdorf, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 9:15 am in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Leroy J. Riegel who passed away in 2013.  Born in Reading, Mrs. Riegel was the daughter of the late Richard P. and Jeanette J. (Wesley) Schmehl.  She attended Reading High School and was a member of St. Daniel’s Lutheran Church in Robesonia.  Mrs. Riegel was employed by Valley Forge Flag Company for 15 years in the sewing department.  She is survived by her daughters Jodi L. Rambo, wife of Barry L. Rambo of Englewood, Florida; Nannette A. Bowman, wife of Kevin L. Bowman of Sinking Spring; Robin J. Putt of Halifax and her 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Dawn Schmehl, spouse of Michele Paul of Newmanstown and her brother Richard K. Schmehl, husband of Cathy L. Schmehl of Shillington.

Funeral Service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Friday, June 3, 2022 at 12:30 pm.  Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mrs. Sandra M.
