Sandra A. Emore (Kauffman) 74, of Reading passed away on Thursday December 10, 2020 at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Born in Reading, Sandra was the daughter of the late Paul Luther Kauffman and Violet M. (Schlappich) Kauffman. She is survived by her loving husband Daniel O. Emore.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Emore is survived by daughters; Sandra D. Richardson, wife of Jess of Reading and Beth A. Young, wife of Joe of Laureldale. Sandra is also survived by her aunt Myrtle Reber of Reading, PA and uncle Larry Schlappich, of Monroe, NC as well as her nephew Dean Kauffman, of Allentown, PA and niece Tricia Romberger, of Strausstown, PA. Sandra is also survived by Tiffany Bauman and Harmony Bauman of Reading, PA who she considered her granddaughter and great granddaughter. She always loved her friends and her children’s friends. Sandra cherished that they called her Mom and her husband Pop. She loved all her children and will see them again. She was preceded in death by her brother Donald Kauffman, husband of Elaine.
After graduating from Governor Mifflin High School in 1964, Sandra went on to work as a telemarketer at Tele-Publications in West Reading. She loved animals and volunteering. Mrs. Emore was a Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader and volunteered for The American Red Cross for many years. She helped with the Sparkie's Drum and Baton Corp and Renegade's Drum and Baton Corp.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Laureldale Cemetery, 4631 Pottsville Pike on Friday December 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Nancy Clark will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington on Thursday December 17, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
