Samantha Neider

Samantha L. Neider, 48, of Spring Township, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 6:50 am in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  She was the wife of Joshua R. Neider.  Born in Thetford, Norfolk, England, Samantha was the daughter of Lesley (Barrett) Shoup of Blackpool, England, and the late Robin L. Shoup.  In addition to her husband and mother, Samantha is survived by her children Meghan E. Harnish of Fleetwood, PA; Ethan J. Harnish of Memphis, TN; Madison L. Neider of Sinking Spring, PA; Lucas D. Neider of Sinking Spring, PA; her granddaughter Ava J. Christensen; and her brother Raymond P.J. Shoup of Phoenix, AZ.

Samantha devoted her life to raising her four children. Those who knew her, knew that her pride and joy was her family. Her passion in life, and ultimately what she was best at, was being a mother. She spent over 20 years as a stay-at- home mom. In addition to raising her own children, Samantha also helped raise and take care of children that belonged to close friends. Most recently, she was a pre-school teacher at Kidz Paradise, a role in which she was able to impact many young lives.

In addition to being a loving mother, Samantha enjoyed cooking, hosting family game nights, and cheering on The Dallas Cowboys. She took great pride in her British and Irish heritage and loved celebrating that aspect of her life in any way that she could – especially on St. Patrick’s Day.

Samantha remained positive throughout her life, even during times where the bad outweighed the good. Samantha was a friend to everyone she met. Her home was never empty, and she extended her love and compassion to all – the door was always open. She made sure that everyone left her home with food in their stomach, love in their heart, and a smile on their face.

The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
