Ruth Wheatley

Ruth Ann Wheatley, 87, formerly of Denver, PA, passed away with peace and grace on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 2:10 pm in Fairmount Homes Retirement Community, West Earl Township, Lancaster County, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Herbert J. Wheatley, Jr. who passed away on April 19, 1997. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Gibbons) Schwab. She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Mount Penn. Along with her husband, Mrs. Wheatley owned and operated Related Service, Corp. in Reading for 20 years until 1981. From 1981 until 1986 they both were involved in property management and Real Estate. She was a member of the Berks County Tea Party and loved to sing and listen to music. Mrs. Wheatley was a Loving Mother to Sara A. Wheatley-Kucsan of Allentown; Patricia A. Beran, wife of Robert F. Beran of Boyers, Butler County, PA and Thomas J. Wheatley, husband of Wendy K. Wheatley of Reinholds. She was a Loving Grandmother to Adam, Tommy, Erik, Matt and Katie. She is also survived by her brother Jerome Schwab of Trumbull, Connecticut. She leaves us rich in happy memories.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church Chapel, 2427 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn, Monday, September 28, 2015 at 9:30 am. Reverend Brian M. Miller, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery, West Nanticoke, PA. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 5-7:00 pm.
