Ruth Alden Sturm, 87 of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2009 at the home of her daughter in Cumru Township. Born in New Jersey where she lived until retiring to Whitefield, N.H. in 1979 and Venice, FL. She was a graduate of Trenton State Teachers College and Stafford Hall School of Business and Medicine in N.J. She was an accomplished musician and taught music and piano both in the public schools and privately. Her second career was in the medical profession as a Certified Physicians Assistant. She worked for 20 years with David O. Zenker, M.D., a N.J. Otolaryngologist and Oncologist. After retiring to Whitefield, she worked briefly with Stanley Goodwin, M.D. of Lancaster, N.H. She was a member of both the Community Baptist Church in Whitefield where she was the organist for many years and the South Venice Baptist Church in Florida where she was a member of the choir. Her greatest success and happiness came from her home and family; her two daughters, Marilyn R. Mangione of Cumru Township, Diane S. Warford of Houston, Texas, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
