Ruth Fleischmann

Ruth B. Fleischmann, 91, of Spring Twp., passed away August 28, 2015 in her residence.
She was the widow of Kenneth M. Fleischmann who passed away in 1994.
Born in Mohnton, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ethel (Houghton) Wentzel.
Ruth was a 1942 graduate of Shillington High School and was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church. Ruth and her husband Kenneth were the former owners of Fleischmann Funeral Home in Pottstown and Whelan Fleischmann Funeral Home in Reading.
Survivors include four daughters Karen M. Rudy, wife of Michael, Toledo, OH; Michele K. Hettinger, wife of Jeffrey, Wyomissing; Colleen L. Schwartz, Wyomissing; Cheryl A. Schwartz, wife of Barry, Medford, NJ. There are twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Kerry M. Fleischmann in 2011.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausolem, 3139 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring Tuesday 9:15-10:15am.
