Russell C. Marker

Russell C. Marker, 98, of Wernersville, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. Born in Yonkers, New York, he was the son of the late Mildred C. (Collins) and Russell E. Marker. He was the loving husband of Evelyn (Hearn) Marker and together they shared 60 years of marriage before her passing on February 18, 2022. Russell and Evelyn were members of Park Road Presbyterian Church. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Russell graduated from Penn State with his bachelor’s degree. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for Gilbert Associates for 20 years before retiring in 1991. After retiring, Russell and Evelyn traveled the world together. They made wonderful memories as a family during camping trips. When the children were younger, they camped in tents but once they were empty nesters they decided to upgrade to a camper. Russell also enjoyed skiing, sailing, and tennis.

Russell is survived by his children, Andrew R. Marker, of Sinking Spring and Deborah M. Ramirez, wife of Edward V. of Boulder, CO, and his grandchildren, Zachary R. Ramirez and Sacha E. Ramirez. In addition to his wife, Evelyn, Russell is predeceased by his brother, James “Jim” Marker.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:00am in Phoebe Berks, 1 Reading Drive, Wernersville, PA 19565.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Russell C.
