Russell Keller

Russell L. Keller, 78, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Saturday December 26, 2020 at 6:44 pm in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Janice (Moll) Keller who passed away November 1997.  Born in Reading, Mr. Keller was the son of the late Ernest L. and Mabel (Yoder) Keller.  He was a graduate of Mount Penn High School and served in the United States Navy.  Mr. Keller retired from Yuasa Battery.  He was an avid golfer and an avid bowler, bowling in two leagues, The Thursday Senior League and Victor Emmanuel League, both at Heisters Lanes.  His average was 167.  Russell was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Keller is survived by his children Kristy L. Hummel, wife of Michael T. Hummel of Reading; Kimberly K. Keller of Leesport; Shawn A. Keller, husband of Tiffany Keller of Reading and his 5 grandsons.  He is also survived by his brothers Paul L. Keller of Temple and Barry Keller of Oley and was preceded in death by his brother Ernie Keller.  Also surviving is Mr. Keller’s loving companion of 21 years Anne M. Hassler and her 4 sons and their families.

Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township.  Interment with Military Honors rendered by the United States Navy Honor Guard will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mr. Russell L.
